[this Registered Report is one of the papers I am most proud of. we set up a study, had the plan reviewed, and then ran the study in 41 countries. we could test our tear effect (the idea that when we see someone shed a tear we find them to be more warm) and identify important theoretical moderators. it also allowed us to test the robustness of the effect around the world. the dataset is open for everyone to use and might still be very interesting to others to further test possible hypotheses]
